Injury & Rehab / Rehab log - 53 years old - CVD Issues
« on: October 23, 2019, 01:46:09 pm »
Age 53, training since DEC 1978. (41 years).
Natty for 30 years, played w/ a few PH's from 2009 to 2012. (Never felt good on them, always lost what I gained since I stuck to recommended dosage).
Jumped on TRT at age 50 (2016) doing 100 mg a week.

Horrible family issues w/ heart disease (father, brother, grandfather and 8 uncles/aunts) dead before 50 from heart disease, a few from cancer.
After a recent cardiac calcium scan (scored 500) Dr. (Cardiologist) said "Get in here now". I start w/ him on OCT 28 (next week).

I will update my progress or lack of it, here, it wont be daily, more like weekly. (I also have a torn rotator and bulging disc's).
SoI think a one-year plan of rehab might be smart. (Train light around the 2 injuries, and the CVD / heart issues).
I have upped my cardio game (6 days a week for 30 mins) and weights 6 days a week, 1 BP per day.

Not sure what is going to happen (Dr. is mentioning possible stents and / or bypass) depending on how blocked I am. (Nuclear stress test coming).

Snapped a pic today just for a baseline to look back on. (Not a great one, but I will be able to tell how good, bad (or same) I might look at the end.(Until I can get back into heavy/serious training).
